What is an End of Life Doula?

An End of Life Doula is someone who provides services, care, and support for people who are living well or have a terminal diagnosis and those at the end of their life eg; aged. Also supporting family, friends, and pets.


A Doula is not a medically trained support carer. They offer support across a wide range of services depending on your individual needs. 


Caring for someone or knowing someone confronted by a terminal diagnosis and caring for someone can be confronting.


How could an End of Life Doula support you/family or friends?

• Offering support and care for everyone involved, at home, hospice or other facilities.

• Support in preparing for death, paperwork and care to plan for a good death.

• Provide information, resources and

• Access to services available to help with the journey

Karyn's Personal Story

Karyn’s experience caring for her husband through a terminal diagnosis to end of life and caring for others through their journey living well has prepared her to be an end of life Doula.


Having worked in homeless shelters and volunteering overseas in hospitals caring for others has given Karyn experience working with people from all walks of life.


Lived experience, compassion and a down to earth approach with life is a little of what Karyn offers.
